My Story
My name is Anna May Stratton
A. Stratton Design emerged from my personal passion for crafting comfortable, yet elegant spaces. Discovering my passion for Interior Design and home decorating during the creation of our first home in 2016 was a transformative experience. Sourcing unique, refurbished, and repurposed items from vintage stores, flea markets, and even Facebook Marketplace, I filled our space with pieces that held history and stories. It was a puzzle, with each find having a place and purpose that eventually formed a beautiful, cohesive vision.
When acquiring our first vacation and second investment properties, I furnished and designed them almost entirely with these curated finds and created our “Happy Places.”
My approach involves sourcing distinctive elements from vintage shops and flea markets, in addition to traditional sources, allowing for the creation of enchanting designs with a discerning touch. I take pride in the ability to seamlessly integrate practical elements, delivering a touch of class regardless of budget. I am committed to providing exceptional outcomes with a light and refreshing touch.
Join me on this exciting journey where every piece tells a story, and the art of Interior Design becomes an adventure in itself.
The Team
Who We Are

Erin Froelich
Design Operations Manager & Designer
Erin brings a well-rounded professional background to A. Stratton Design, with experience in business management, construction and remodeling, and interior design. Her work spans from styling high-end homes for professional photography to creating custom refinished furniture pieces. She has flipped several homes and re-imagined hundreds of furniture items, one of which led to her first collaboration with Anna May. Their shared passion for preloved design has made Erin a natural fit as Anna May’s “right hand,” forming a dynamic working relationship.
Erin wholeheartedly believes that clients’ interior design projects should be joyful - not stressful, and that the best designs come from melding existing, reimagined, and new elements together.
Erin lives in Western Albemarle, VA with her family and their beloved Frenchie, Graham.

Trina Ellis
Owner of Refined Design by Trina
What started as a personal passion for refinishing furniture has grown into Refined Design by Trina - a business dedicated to reimagining timeless pieces. My name is Trina Ellis, and for over 25 years, I've enjoyed breathing new life into furniture for my own home. This year, I began offering that same creativity to others. I specialize in redesigning furniture with a mix of paint, stain, wallpaper, and new hardware, giving each piece a refreshed, one-of-a-kind look.

By trade, I'm an accountant, but refinishing allows me to tap into my creative side. I take pride in being detailed-oriented and ensuring every project is finished with care. Originally from Martinsburg, WV, I've called Harrisonburg home for the past 15 years. Outside of refinishing, I love spending time with my husband and two beautiful daughters.
Meranda Spencer
Owner of Agora Impact Marketing
I have been in Marketing for over 5 years and started my own agency that focuses on the growth of small businesses in our community. I have really enjoyed the perks that come with Marketing. Such as, getting the opportunity to meet new people and interact with different types of businesses, as well as facing a challenge and see real results of improvement. Every business has the opportunity to show growth and reach new goals, marketing is how I can help local small businesses and our community.
Being a business owner myself, has allowed me to truly understand the relationship between business and marketing, this allows me to understand the business owners goals and ensure that all marketing efforts are aligned with that vision in mind.
I provide A. Stratton Design with marketing support, such as Web Design, Social Media Management, Email Marketing and Digital Design.

When I'm not working, I spend time with my Husband playing games and watching sports or walking our dog, Koda..
